For most part of his career, Emraan Hashmi has played a character who has grey, if not out and out negative, shades to his character. He has been accepted as a leading hero while playing such roles as well, as reflected in the success of 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai', 'Gangster', 'Jannat', 'Zeher' and more.

"There is this entire change in perception of how good and evil is being looked at today. In the 90s, there was a distinct line between good and evil. Over the years, this line has blurred somewhere," reasons Emraan who is going through a wonderful phase in his career.

Now the trend of playing someone with grey shades is continuing with 'Crook' as well.

"In a way, this actually reflects the sensibility of the audience more than anything else. There are characters who do good things as well as bad things; that's the way real people behave. No one is entirely white or black", he says.

Point taken Emraan!
