Shocking! Man kills wife and blames coronavirus

The coronavirus pandemic on one side is wreaking havoc infecting millions and killing over a hundred thousand persons so far. On the other side we have brave stories of people helping one another and of doctors and medical workers risking their lives to save others. There is also a much darker side to people deadlier than any virus as witnessed by Florida residents.

A man David Ethan Anthony was arrested last week for kidnapping and murder of his wife Gretchen S Antony and building it up as though the coronavirus had infected her. The police were alerted after three witnesses received text messages from Gretchen from March 23rd to 25th that had "was being held by the "CDC" after being checked out at Jupiter Medical Center", "At Jupiter Medical Center with an "acute" case of COVID-19 and being taken to a CDC approved task force in Belle Glade, where they sedated me" and the last one to one of her friends that said she was under ventilator support.

The witnesses found that the language used was not of Gretchen's but closely resembled her husband David and when cops found that none of the hospitals and facilities had admitted such a person the investigation began. The police found that that the 51-year-old Gretchen had separated from her 48-year-old husband several months back and filed for divorce on February 28th.

At Gretchen's house bloodstains were found and neighbors revealed that a blood-curdling scream of a woman (apparently the victim) "No! No, it hurts," on Saturday, March 21st early morning 6 am to 6:20 am. CCTV footage also found David's car parked arriving and leaving the house.

David Anthony meanwhile had escaped to Mexico and on the way had tried to sell a bag of women's jewelry but the shopkeeper did not buy it from but CCTV footage once again are revealed him and his truck. The police have arrested the suspect and extradition efforts are on to take him back to Palm Beach. County.
