Gulshan Grover was fired from this James Bond film

Gulshan Grover's name shines as one of the most popular and iconic villainous actors of Bollywood. He had an amazing career run during the nineties when he starred as antagonist in almost every other action flick. However, one little known fact about the actor is that he missed the opportunity to become an international star just by an inch. Apparently, Gulshan was cast as the main antagonist in Daniel Craig's first James Bond film 'Casino Royale' but things didn't work out in his favour.

Unfortunately, Gulshan was fired before he could start filming for not honouring the contract between him and the production company. In a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, Gulshan confirmed this incident and said, "I had signed the agreement. Casino Royale was the film. I shared the news with one of my closest friends in London. The biggest newspaper, the Daily Mirror, ran a story with the headline ‘Bollywood’s Bond villain’. Everything that I had said the previous night had been printed. That upset everybody. They said I hadn’t respected the contract, and various other things happened, and I had to leave."

However, the actor is quite optimistic that he'll get another opportunity to play a Bond villain. “One day I will play a Bond villain, I’m sure," he told Siddharth Kannan.
