Hansika has acquired an acre of land on the outskirts of Mumbai. The actress is planning to construct a home to shelter elderly persons and adopted children.

Confirming the development, the 'Aambala' and 'Velayudham' girl says, "I was looking for one such place and finally found it. It is one-and-a-half hour journey from Mumbai."

Hansika says it would take some time for her to start the construction, as she had already spent a huge amount to buy the property.
