Hansika Motwani no more speaks in English and Hindi when she is in Tamil Nadu. She speaks in fluent Tamil, thanks to an initiative by M Rajesh, who is directing her in 'Oru Kal Oru Kannadi', which is getting ready to hit the screens soon.

Says the actress, "It was a specific instruction by Rajesh that everyone on the sets should speak to me in Tamil and I should respond to them in Tamil only. So I learnt the language quickly and am now I am able to speak fluently. I am sure I will improve my Tamil skills in the days to come."

Happy about the success of her recent release 'Velayudham', Hansika, who is already popular in these parts with films such as 'Engeyum Kadhal' and 'Mappillai', says, "All credits should go to Vijay, director Jayam M Raja and other members of the crew."

For the first time, Hansika has played a village belle in the Vijay-starrer. She says, "I felt a bit challenged when director Raja explained to me about my character in Velayudham. But I accepted it and everything went well. Acting with Vijay was a great experience."
