Hasin’s complaint: cases under non-bailable sections registered against Shami

The Kolkata police have filed cases under non-bailable sections against cricketer Mohammed Shami based on multiple complaints filed against her.

Hasin Jahan, who married the West Bangal-based cricketer four years back, raised a huge controversy by revealing three days back that Shami was a habitual flirt who was having multiple affairs with many women (including Pakistanis) who frequently visited his hotel suites during his tours abroad on cricketing assignments. Hasin said that Shami had humiliated herself many a time by torturing her in the company of his mother and brother and added that at times it lasted till 03:00 a.m.

Refuting the allegations, Shami that he wasn’t sure why Jahan was saying so and said that the possibility of Jahan losing her mental balance can’t be ruled out.  Hasin, in the meantime, released on her Facebook account details of Shami’s chat with various women. She also dropped a bomb stating Shami had also been ‘fixing’ matches for the past three years. “I have proof to substantiate my claims,” she sai.

Based on Hasin’s detailed written complaint against Shami, the Crime Branch of the Kolkata Police have registered cases against Shami under section 307 (attempt to murder), 498-A (torturing wife), 506 (criminal offence), 328 (attempt to poison, attack), 34 (attempt to murder with others’ help) and 376 (atrocity).  Sources said that if the charges are proved, Shami might face an imprisonment of upto 10 years.
