Telangana Congress party President Uttam Kumar Reddy has on Friday demanded that Bonthu Rammohan, the Mayor of Hyderabad, should be sacked. He made the demand after a Deccan Chronicle report said that the Mayor's cronies have resorted to land grabbing. As per the report, it's a Rs 100 Cr scam.

"The Mayor should resign immediately or the Chief Minister should sack him. Else, it will be clear that the brazen land grabbing is being done with the blessings of the powers that be. Land, sand, mine, wine, water(projects); list of TRS leaders loot is endless!" Uttam Reddy tweeted.

The Mayor hasn't reacted to the report. His wife is alleged to have entered into an MoU with the cronies.

The former Cabinet Minister has been critical of the way the KCR government is handling the pandemic in Telangana.
