“I was in tears when I first read the script. - Prateik Babbar on India Lockdown

Actor Prateik Babbar is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film 'India Lockdown' and the trailer promises that he is all set to deliver an incredible performance. He will be seen portraying a migrant worker in this film based on the initial phase of lockdown in India and in a recent promotional chat he shared that he was in tears while reading the script for the first time.

“I was in tears when I first read the script. My character, a migrant worker, has his life suddenly come to a standstill and must decide whether to try to exist in a city far from home or return home and live within his means.” Talking about his prep, Prateik shared that he got in touch with several migrant workers to understand the character better and pick up the nuances.

He stated, "We had a lot of prep going for this character. I met a few migrant workers and had a heart to heart with them to understand their life in order to play Madhav.”

Also starring Shweta Basu Prasad, Aahana Kumra, Sai Tamhankar, and Prakash Belawadi in pivotal roles, 'India Lockdown' is set to stream on ZEE5 from December 2, 2022.
