Comedy they say always works when it is made locally.

But successful producer R B Chowdary, who knows a good thing when he sees one, is taking a huge gamble.

The smart producer has managed to wrest the Telugu dubbing rights for the humongously successful Imsai Arasan 23am Pulikesi amidst high competition.

This Simbudevan-directed, Shankar-produced, Vadivelu starrer has been a refreshing success in Tamil.

And naturally there was a major demand for its remake or dubbing rights.

Finally, it was decided that it would be easier to dub it in Telugu. There was much clamor for the dubbing rights. But Chowdary managed to win it.

Chowdary knows that Shankar’s films --- produced or directed --- have a huge market in Andhra.

His Kadhal too dubbed in Telugu as Premisthe was a runaway success.

So there is nothing to prevent Pulikesi from being a success too.

Of course, being a historical full of comedy and satire, it is imperative that the dubbing and the Telugu dialogues have to be spot on (The Tamil success was mainly due to the amazing dialogues of Simbudevan himself).

That is the reason why Chowdary has decided to take time and get the Telugu version released for Deepavali.

The film will release under Mega Super good Films banner.
