India becomes the world's largest importer of arms

The Stockholm International Peace Research Institue have released a report and going by that it looks like India is the largest importer of arms in the world.  Over the past five years alone, India has been accountable for 12% of the global imports.

While Russia was the country’s largest supplier of arms amounting to 62% of the imports, United States of America is second largest supplier with imports from the country growing by a whopping 557 %. Pakistan’s arm imports have decreased by 36 % accounting to only 2.8 % of global arms import with its imports from US reducing by 76 %.
