Team India and Punjab Kings cricketer Rahul Chahar tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend Ishani Johar on Wednesday, days ahead of the 15th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL).

The couple reportedly exchanged wedding vows in a private ceremony in Goa following their engagement in 2019. The wedding reception is set to happen on Saturday and is expected to be attended by cricketers and other celebrities. Sharing a series of pictures from the ceremony on his social media page, 22-year-old Rahul Chahar wrote, “Our Happily ever after!!” The player was congratulated by his former IPL franchise Mumbai Indians as well as Punjab Kings, who bought him for Rs 5.25 crore at the IPL 2022 mega auction which happened last month.

Rahul Chahar is the cousin brother of Chennai Super Kings’ star bowler Deepak Chahar, who got engaged to his girlfriend last year. “Badhai ho, @rdchahar1! Wishing Rahul & Ishani a very happy married life from the entire #OneFamily,” Mumbai Indians wrote. Meanwhile, Punjab Kings posted, “Congratulations to @rdchahar1 and Ishani on the beginning of their new innings. May this be the best partnership of your life.”
