India’s employment ratio is pathetic compared to China, says Rahul Gandhi

Congress president Rahul Gandhi pulled up the Narendra Modi-led BJP Govt. at the Centre for not doing enough to create new employment opportunities. “While China creates employment opportunities for 50,000 persons each day, India creates job opportunities only for 450 persons,” Rahul Gandhi complained.

Karnataka is all set to vote and elect its new Legislative Assembly where the ruling Congress (led by Siddaramaiah) and the BJP are locking horns for what is expected to be a tough fight for power. With an apparent eye on the ensuing Assembly polls, the Union Govt. had given considerable schemes to Karnataka in the fiscal budget for 2018-19 presented last week in Parliament by Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.

Rahul was in his elements as he kicked off his election campaign from Raichur on a 4-day tour of the State. “While the neighbouring China provides employment opportunities to 50,000 persons per day, India does so only for 450 persons despite the BJP-led Centre’s schemes such as ‘Start Up India’, ‘Digital India’, etc., launched with fanfare by the Prime Minister,” he remarked.

“The Prime Minister doesn’t have any answers to the issue of unemployment and to farmers’ issues. While speaking about corruption, it would be better if the PM remained alert.  He hasn’t yet clarified his stance on the issue of BJP president Amit Shah’s son Jay Shah amassing Rs.80 crores in just three months. It’s high time he came out with a plausible explanation on the issue, which he has by-passed.

“I personally visited the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) in New Delhi and submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister requesting for blanked waiving of farmers’ loans taken from various banks but the Prime Minister didn’t give any reply at all,” Rahul Gandhi concluded.
