It happened in Siddipet earlier on Thursday. A journalist named Hanumantha Rao (aged 29), who works for a Telugu-language daily, hung himself and his wife too tried to kill herself. More tragically, the couple administered poison to their two kids before taking the extreme step!
The wife has survived because her neighbours rescued her just in time. They had become suspicious when nobody was coming out of the house. She is in hospital, undergoing treatment.
As per early reports, the couple was vexed with financial problems. This drove them to kill their own kids and think of snuffing their own lives out.
While a police case has been registered, the shocking incident is quite numbing!
