Mozhi, releasing this weekend, is already being talked about for the kind of performance that Jyothika is said to have put up.

Director Radha Mohan has now confessed that the story and script has indeed been written keeping Jyothika in mind.

"The moment the story was decided and the script began to take shape, we felt that only Jyothika could do justice to the character," says the articulate director.

Jyothika was of course cutting down on her assignments as she was busy preparing for her marriage.

But when she heard the story and structure, she accepted to do the film.

The story is about a mute girl and her relationship with a youngster who is a musician. Prithvitraj plays the musician. Prakash Raj plays his friend.

Radha Mohan says that this is not a mindless art movie taken with the idea of festival circuit. "It is a commercial entertainer with intelligence."

There is a lot of fun and mirth in it, he says.
