Lokesh Kanagaraj is one of the most exciting young directors in Tamil cinema today who has given two entirely different films 'Maanagaram' and 'Kaithi' which have been critically acclaimed and also made great money at the box office as well. He is currently in New Delhi shooting the second schedule of his next 'Thalapathy 64' starring Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi easily one of the most anticipated film in 2020.

It is already more or less confirmed that Lokesh Kanagaraj has committed for 'Kaithi 2' again starring Karthi and another superhero subject with Suriya reportedly titled 'Irumbukkai Maayavi'. Now the latest buzz is that Kamal Haasan's Raj Kamal Films International has signed Lokesh Kanagaraj for a new film that will probably start as soon as the release of 'Thalapathy 64' in April 2020. The young filmmaker has said that the Ulaganayagan is his biggest inspiration and it's truly awesome that he is collaborating with him so soon in his career.

Kamal Haasan is currently shooting for 'Indian 2' and will start his 'Thalaivan Irukkindraan. in mid-2020. At this point it is not clear whether Kamal will act in the Lokesh Kanagarjaj project or will only produce it. since the 2021 Assembly elections will take up much of his time. We await more details on this project as days go by.
