Say Dheena. One is immediately reminded of his `kuthu' numbers. A music composer synonymous with racy tunes has given catchy scores and lilting melodies at right mix in `Kandha Kottai'.

Produced by Kalpathi S Agoram and directed by S Sakthivel, the movie features Nakulan and Poorna in lead roles. The likes of Shankar Mahadevan, Tippu, Benny Dayal and Suchitra have crooned in the album, while the highlight is Nakulan singing a song.

Check out how the songs are:

1. Kalakalakkura - Listen here

Singer: Tippu, Dheena

Penned by Yugabharathi, the title song of the album has Tippu and Dheena rendering it with gusto and grace. Tippu's catchy voice is cool to listen to while Dheena chips in with utmost energy. Good orchestration is the hallmark of the number.

2. Kadhal Paambu Unnai - Listen here

Singer: Benny Dayal, Sowmya Rao, Dev Prakash

It is a song that perfectly brings to light Yugabharathi's skills as lyricist. It is about a man who stays away from love while a woman who urges him to try romance to be a better man. A good use of guitar and racy rhythms are the USP. Benny Dayal's Anglican accent rocks, while Sowmya Rao and Dev Prakash do give their best.

3. Eppadi Ennul Kadhal - Listen here

Singer: Nakulan

Viveka, who proved his mastery in `Kanthaswamy', has given a song that is catchy all the way. Nakulan, who earlier caught the admiration of A R Rahman and Harris Jayaraj while singing for `Boys' and `Vettaiyadu Vilaiyadu', proves that he is not just a good actor but also a good singer. A fusion kind of a song, the melody in it is very catchy. Nakulan deserves all credit for singing with great involvement.

4. Unnai Kadhali Yenrdu - Listen here

Singer: Naresh Iyer, Sadhana Sargam

A song penned by Kabilan, it is melodious and catchy. A pleasant one that speaks about love and intimacy. It sits well on our ears. Naresh Iyer and Sadhana Sargam chip in with their best. Dheena has proved that he can compose melody too well.

5. Dishyum Dishyum - Listen here

Singer: Shankar Mahadevan, Suchitra

Viveka has proved his experience penning with ease dance numbers. For him, this could be another `Yen Peru Meenakumari'. With Shankar Mahadevan and energetic Suchitra singing to their best capabilities, the pace at which it progresses gives it sheen.

On the whole, `Kandha Kottai' is an album that is racy. One for front-benchers, it would go down well with the masses.
