Karunanidhi's grandson's properties frozen

The Enforcement Directorate has frozen assets worth rupees 40 crores of Karunanidhi's grandson and M.K. Alagiri's son Dayanidhi Alagiri. This is in connection with the Granite scam case which has been going on for the past several years.

25 moveable and immovable properties of Dayanidhi Alagiri in Chennai and Madurai have been seized by the ED. Dayanidhi Alagiri apart from his businesses is also a famous film producer who has bankrolled Ajith's 'Mankatha' and 'Tamil Padam' among other films under his Cloud Nine banner.
