As we had reported earlier today, Krishna-Swathi Reddy starrer 'Yakkai' will be hitting the screens this Friday that is March 3, 2017.

Speaking about the film, director Kulandai Velappan says “We are happy with the final content, those who have seen the movie had given us a very positive energy, and the strong script has delivered a killer punch to the ever growing fraudulent activities in the medical sector, which is supposed to be the noblest profession. Yaakkai will be an eye opener to the blind trust on the medicos and medicine. We are creating awareness on the growing dependence on medicine and its repercussions. In these days of awareness campaign by the youngsters, Yaakkai will be a perfect launching pad on medical awareness”.

Guru Somasundaram is playing the negative role in the film which also has Prakash Raj in an important role. Yuvan Shankar Raja has rendered the music score.

Meanwhile, 'Yakkai' has underwent the Censor Certification process and the film has acquired a clean U certificate from the board officials.
