Finally Vijayakanth has managed to find a heroine for him.

For his forthcoming movie Dharmapuri directed by Perarasu, frantic search was on to find a suitable heroine. Unable to find the right one, Perarasu commenced shooting last month.

Now Karka Kasadara fame Lakshmi Rai has been cast opposite Vijayakanth in the movie.

Nayantra, Sneha and Renuka Menon were in the consideration. However they were preoccupied with their earlier commitments.

Finally Lakshmi Rai has got the nod.

This Belgaum girl made a glamorous debut in Karka Kasadara. However her next Kundaka Mandaka opposite Parthiban did not do well.

She is now optimistic that Dharmapuri will help her to get a fresh break and cement her place in the industry.
