Since Ram Gopal Varma's pitting of Mammootty against Dulquer, responses have been flowing thick in support of the legend. While Dulquer himself reacted against the post saying that he does not think himself one millionth of an actor that Mammootty was, many from Mollywood too have questioned RGV.

Actor Kunchako Boban asks if RGV has any credentials for that matter to make such a remark and that he should heal himself first. Actress Navya Nair defended Mammootty saying that RGV probably does not know Mammootty's acting chops. Aju Varghese in a hilarious way asks if he is called Ramu itself and that he will show him. Meanwhile, Aashiq Abu reacted to the matter by supporting Dulquer's statement. Everyone who has really been witness to Mammootty's exceptional acting prowess is irked by RGV's comments and calls it attention seeking.
