'Maalai Pozhudhin Mayakathiley'. The title itself creates a temptation as to how the music album would be, as it is inspired by the startling line of one of the evergreen songs of Tamil cinema. Music is by Achu for this film that is written and directed by Narayan Nagendra Rao. The music is fresh and refreshing, providing the listeners an enjoyable experience. These are the days when young music talents making it big in Kollywood, and Achu seems to be the new one to the list.

Oh Baby Girl Listen here

Hemachandra, Achu

Besides composing the tune, the music director is also the lyricist and the singer here. For 'Oh Baby Girl...', he has penned the lines in association with director Narayan Nagendra Rao and crooned it in the company of Hemachandra. Though the song reminds Yuvan Shankar Raja, it makes to an interesting listening.

Yaaro Ivalo Listen here

Haricharan

A wonderful melody. Rendering as well as orchestration are too good in 'Yaaro Ivalo'. A dependable Haricharan does a commendable job, of course ably aided by Achu. This one is set to mesmerise the listeners.

Yen Uyirey Listen here

Karthik

Here comes the pick of the lot of 'Maalai Pozhudhin Mayakathiley'. There are also two other versions of this song, one sung by Chitra and the other by Bombay Jayashri. All these three are the three jewels of the album. Indulge in it.

Yaen Indha Dhideer Thirupam Listen here

Achu

As suggested by the opening words, the twist here is that the music composer himself is the solo singer. Apparently with a little Metalica hangover, the highlights of 'Yaen Indha Dhideer Thirupam...' are impressive guitar work and good tune.

Nerathin Neram Ellam Listen here

Narayan Nagendra Rao, Chinmayi, Achu

Neatly composed, beautifully penned and nicely crooned, 'Nerathin Neram Ellam...' proves the power of team work. The army of Narayan Nagendra Rao, Chinmayi and Achu take us to a different world while listening to the song.

Kadal Karayiley Listen here

Sriram Parthasarathy

A gorgeous tune and a great performance by Sriram Parthasarathy. Equally impressive are strings-backed backgrounds by Achu. 'Kadal Karayiley' makes us to have a nice dip in the ocean of music.

MPM Anthem Listen here

Achu

Here comes what we call theme music. Achu rocks big time as a music composer, lyricist and singer with this number, which sets the mood for the movie. Good work by the young talent.

The music album of 'Maalai Pozhudhin Mayakathiley' is a good listent.
