Finally 'Heroine' - the much talked project of Madhur Bhandarkar - has hit the floors in fresh manner...

The filmmaker shared the development on his micro-blogging site thus: "Heroine is back on track, pre-production starts from today, need your blessings & prayers!!!"

A known fact, the movie which initially had Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the title role, now has been replaced by Kareena Kapoor.

Madhur had earlier made 'Heroine' announcement at the 64th Cannes Film Festival (in May) with Aishwarya in the lead. Then the news about the actress's pregnancy came out which made the director's plans go for a toss. The project was almost dropped and even met with controversy. Following this, a new 'no-pregnancy clause' in the contract of actresses was brought into existence. After a break, Madhur now seems to have picked up the reins again with new energy and hopes...

We wish him and his team all the best…
