Madhuri Dixit used to feel confined in India due to this reason

Actress Madhuri Dixit, who was one of the most popular and iconic Bollywood star of 80s and 90s, recently started her second innings with the Netflix show 'Fame Game'. It is not hard to imagine that celebs often find it difficult to lead a normal life due to their larger than life image and Madhuri is no exception.

In a recent interview, the actress shared how she used to feel confined at the early stage of her career due a large group of people constantly surrounding her. She said, "I grew up in a very protected environment… My parents used to always accompany me, even when I was working. But once I got married, I began making decisions by myself. I learnt a lot about life because living in the US. When I was in India, there would always be around 20 people fussing over me at all times, but there I was very independent.”

Sharing how her time in USA made her feel independent, Madhuri said, "I had to do things on my own, bring up my kids—of course, my mom and mom-in-law would come and help me out whenever I needed. But as you grow older, you mature and learn a lot, and grow as a person with your experiences. Today, I use those experiences when I'm essaying a role."
