Mahesh Babu has watched the Tamil film 'Sarkar' and he is visibly in love with it. Taking to Twitter on Wednesday, the Tollywood superstar said, "Sarkar is an engaging political drama!! Thoroughly enjoyed it... An AR Murugadoss trademark film. Congrats to the entire team."

An elated Murugadoss thanked Mahesh for the compliment. "Sirrrrr..... thank you so much. I am glad you liked it. It means a lot."

It was after watching 'Thuppakki', the superhit Vijay-ARM movie, that the 'Maharshi' star became keener to work with the director. The teaming up finally happened last year with 'SPYder'.

'Sarkar', meanwhile, has netted Rs. 35 Cr on Day 1 in India. This is as per trade analyst Sumit Kadel, who says that the collections are greater than what the Bollywood movie 'Sanju' got.
