There were reports doing the round that Mammootty will be part of Mani Ratnam's next. According to the latest buzz, Mammootty will act in the Malayalam version of the movie and young actor Tamil actor Karthi will star in the Tamil version.

This Mani Ratnam bilingual has a lot of expectations riding on it, with his last release 'OK Kanmani, getting rave reviews. Interestingly, Karthi entered tinsel town as assistant to Mani Ratnam and he is keen to star in one. Mammootty has previously acting in the Mani Ratnam movie Thalapathy.
