It has been a haul of medals for India this week. After PV Sindhu won gold and Sai Praneeth romped home with a bronze at the BWF World Championships, the BWF Para-Badminton World Championships has given India a haul of 12 medals. Manasa Joshi is one of the medal-winners.

"130 crore Indians are extremely proud of the Indian Para-Badminton contingent, which has brought home 12 medals at BWF World Championships 2019. Congratulations to the entire team, whose success is extremely gladdening and motivating. Each of these players is remarkable," Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted out, congratulating the winners.

The champs have requested an appointment with Modi. They want to be appreciated the way PV Sindhu was given a special welcome by the Prime Minister's Office.
