In an unprecedented charitable gesture from a film personality, Manchu Vishnu has extended assistance to the family of paralyzed Durga Goud, a former journalist. As part of his sister Lakshmi Manchu's TV show Memu Saitham, Vishnu sold Pani Puris for a day, thereby earning Rs. 75,000. Lakshmi too, on her part, donated Rs. 1 lacs to the family.

Besides this direct monetary assistance, Vishnu announced something that is many times more valuable. It's free provision of corporate education for Durga Goud's children from KG to Intermediate. In money terms, this is estimated to cost Rs. 22 lacs, approximately.

The gesture is winning accolades from different sections of the society. This is the single biggest contribution by a celebrity on the now-famous show Memu Saitham.

Remember that, only recently, Dr. Mohan Babu spontaneously announced free education till PG (even if its engineering or medical education) for two orphans adopted by actress Geeta Singh on the dais of the audio release function of Eedo Rakam Aado Rakam.

After the latest gesture from the Manchu son, let's say 'Like father, like son'.
