Mansoor Ali Khan becomes ill in jail admitted to hospital

Actor Mansoor Ali Khan who was arrested during the Sterlite protest and later released again was taken into custody after his controversial speech in Salem protesting the proposed eight lane freeway project.  He has been lodged in the Salem central  jail for the past ten days and his bail application has also been rejected by the Omalur Court.

Mansoor Ali Khan went on a hunger strike in his cell on Saturday and his health started deteriorating in the past two days.  The veteran actor has been shifted to the government hospital where he is being treated.
