It's known that Pawan Kalyan, in his capacity as the chief of Jana Sena Party, stood up against the National Anthem order imposed on the cinegoers. "A simple evening to spend time with family and friends to watch a movie has been made into a testing ground to prove ones patriotism. Why not political parties start their meetings with the National Anthem? Why only cinemas?" he tweeted yesterday. Although Pawan was wrong in questioning the government for an order given by the Hon'ble Supreme Court, his views may be said to be correct.

However, Janardhan Goud, an advocate with the High Court of Andhra Pradesh, has filed an FIR against the actor-politician, at the Saroor Nagar police station. He has opined in the complaint that Pawan was promoting anti-Anthem views by posting such comments.

This may not stand legal scrutiny for the reason that Pawan has only stated his personal views like so many commentators. Pawan's Freedom of Expression will win at the end.
