Meera Jasmine won accolades for her role in her first Kannada film "Mourya" with Puneet Raj Kumar but she has not accepted any other movie in the language despite several overtures from producers.
He choosiness and selecting films with extreme caution have helped other young actresses from Kerala grab some interesting projects in the Tamil film industry.
Meera is now producing the Tamil remake of her award-winning Malayalam film "Kasturimaan", directed by her mentor Lohit Dass.
She has been refusing roles, including the one offered by cameraman-turned-director K.V. Anand for the Tamil film "Kanaa Kanden".
