Meghan Markle wins a legal victory in a defamation lawsuit brought by her half-sister, Samantha Markle.

In fact, U.S. District Judge Charlene Honeywell, in part, filed the case in search of a reputational black eye because Samantha Markle, 59, improperly represented her over several interviews related to the lawsuit, including a sit-down with Oprah Winfrey for CBS.

The filing went on to explain that the judge in Florida found that Samantha had provided no evidence to support her claim of defamation. This, therefore, said Honeywell, "appears to suggest that Samantha disagrees with [Meghan's] opinions rather than statements of fact."

"We are pleased with the court’s ruling dismissing the case," said Meghan's attorney, Michael J. Kump.

The court dismissed the lawsuit with prejudice, preventing Samantha from refiling it. She demanded $75,000 from Meghan for defamation. Samantha, in her original filing, argued that Meghan made defamatory remarks in an interview with Winfrey by claiming she "grew up as an only child." The judge stated in the ruling that the statements in the book were not sufficient grounds to subject Meghan to a trial. He also said that her statement in relation to the example that she was an only child was an opinion rather than a fact.

Samantha's claims, emanating from the book "Finding Freedom," were dismissed with prejudice, while she was granted this final opportunity to re-plead her mirage on those concerning the Oprah Winfrey interviews for injurious falsehood.
