Minister, Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna discuss crucial issues

Upon Telangana Chief Minister KCR's instructions, Cinematography Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav has called on Megastar Chiranjeevi and Akkineni Nagarjuna at Chiru's residence in Hyderabad. It's reported that the Minister and the two senior actors contemplated over a number of issues concerning the film industry during the formal meeting.

The Chiru-Nag duo have backed the idea of developing a world-class film institute in Hyderabad. The government will allocate land for the same. Online ticketing, an important mission of the Ministry, was also discussed upon. Chiru and Nag brought to the Minister's notice the necessity to allow flexible ticket pricing for the benefit of both big and small movies.

A training centre that will foster the skills of technicians engaged in cinema's 24 crafts was also mentioned.

The government is in favour of allocating two acres of land for the construction of a cultural centre at Jubilee Hills. Besides, 10 acres of land will be allocated for the construction of houses for cine workers near Chitrapuri Colony.

The two stars promoted the idea of cine and TV artistes being provided with ID cards by the Film Development Corporation. Issues like ESI and group insurance were also discussed.

In the second week of this month, cine personalities and heads will participate in a joint meeting with government officials over the issues.
