Mirapakay Music Review

`Mirapakay' is being produced by Ramesh Puppala on the banner of Yellow Flowers, introducing Harish Shankar as director with Raviteja, Richa Gangopadhyay and Deeksha Seth in the lead. Harish Shankar, who caught the pulse of Raviteja's style of acting and mass image, penned an interesting story and chose Thaman S, who gave excellent tunes for Raviteja's latest hit `Kick' as music director once again. Thaman lived up to his expectations and gave excellent tunes to all the songs to attract all classes of audiences.

The first track starts off with a fast beat and reminds the listeners about the songs in Raviteja's career earlier. It has the typical rhythmic beat, coupled with dialogues from Raviteja's own voice. Though the song has a fast beat in it, it has some punch dialogues on love that could attract the attention of audiences. Anant Sriram is known for penning lyrics with such different kind of style. Thaman too tuned the song keeping in view the Raviteja's style of performance. Of course, this could be treated as the title song as the other song in the same album is just a theme song and has no full-fledged lyric.

This number appears to be an item number, given the husky female voice. Keeping the mass image of the hero and the situation, Thaman gave a complete mass colour to the tune and Sahithi also penned the lyric with folk touch. Such songs would easily gel with the mass audiences as it has lots of scope for dances and would enthrall the mass audiences to enjoy the tune.

Inspired at a song... `Chennai Chandrama.' that was tuned in a popular Tyagaraja kriti `Maha Ganapathim.' style, in `Amma Nanna O Tamil Ammayi', a hit film in Raviteja's career, Thaman experimented with another parody to a classical number in this song. Moreover, the song came from a mellifluous voice of Shreya Ghoshal and Shankar Mahadevan, the best classical singers among playback artistes in India. It is no surprise that the lyric came from one of the best lyricists of Tollywood like Chandra Bose. A melody that could be enjoyed by class audiences.

This is a romantic number between the hero and heroine. The tune hints the situation and the lyrics added spice to it. It is worth mentioning here that Thaman, who caught the pulse of style of acting of Raviteja, tuned a few lines between the song, with a typical Raviteja's style with high-pitch voice, though the female voice is quite romantic. The tune has foot-tapping music and had all the qualities not only to attract the mass but also the class audiences. The sweetness in the romance was made possible because the lyric is by none other than Sirivennela Sitarama Sastry.

This is the theme song of the film and has the rhythmic touch and is worth listening for its music values. Harish Shankar, the director of the film himself penned this lyrics as he had the grip on the entire script and thought he could do justice to the lyric. The entire lyric had full of English words and may not be easy for mass audiences to hum this lyric.

This is yet another mass number and the tune reminds of the songs in `Kick' of Raviteja. The tune has lots of drum beat and is foot-tapping music. Even without knowing from which film it is, the audiences could easily identify that the song is from a film that has Raviteja as hero as the tune had a typical Raviteja style. Bhaskarabhatla is known from penning lyrics with Hindi, English words in the song and this song is no exception to it.

Thaman himself rendered this song on his own. It is yet another duet between the hero and heroine and the song appeared to be a teasing song between the lead pair. This tune also had a mass appeal and would definitely attract the mass audiences. Bhaskarabhatla filled good lyrical values in the songs though it was tuned in a mass beat. Thaman used shehnai tune in between to give a folk and mass touch. These days, the music directors appeared to have learnt that they should give more scope to make audiences listen to the lyric instead of bombarding with music.
