Versatile actor Mohan Babu has been conferred with honorary doctorate by the prestigious MGR University. The doctorate will be presented to him at an event to be held in Chennai onOctober 4.

The talented actor has done hundreds of movies in a glorious career spanning 40 years. He is currently donning the role of SV Ranga Rao in 'Mahanati', a biopic of yesteryear actress Savitri. In recent years, his attempts at making a comeback as a main lead have fallen flat. His sons, Vishnu and Manoj, and daughter, Lakshmi Manchu, are very much in creative endeavors.
