Power of silence
Friday, November 18, 2011 • Tamil Comments

The lead actor is young. The music composer is young. So is the whole team. What else than an energetic album could you expect from  this gang?

Though the film's title is 'Mounaguru', which is a symbol of silence, its songs speak a lot, that too in an interesting manner. Music composed by Thaman S for this third movie of Arulnidhi is here to stay, if one has to go by the taste of young audience these days.

Here we present you a song by song analysis of 'Mounaguru' music album, which has just hit the stores.

Pudhu Punal Listen here

Ranjith, Rahul Nambiar, Sam, Mlr. Karthikeyan

MGR's choice was Vaali whenever the matinee idol wanted to convey a message or two through songs. No wonder the veteran lyricist is prefered by new-gen actors too, as his pen is still sharp and suave. This number is just another sample to it. A hero-worship song, the way Thaman has composed 'Pudhu Punal...' transfers the energy from the speakers to the listener. A young army of singers have crooned it with ease.

Yennaidhu Listen here

Rahul Nambiar, Ranjith, Rita, Ramya

This time it's Na Muthukumar, the hot pick of music composers and filmmakers. Sung by Rahul Nambiar, Ranjith, Rita and Ramya, 'Yennaidhu...' starts on a mild note to make it presence felt in a big way. A soothing romantic song from Thaman. Watch out for interesting interludes which are sweet and surprising.

Anaamkia Listen here

Karthik, Harini

The word Anaamika means 'a girl without a name'. Lyricist Karky has indeed picked a right word to start this song, which talks about the meaningless feelings love can give to those involved. Harini, a synonym with soothing voice, has made a nice comeback. She has sung this number with utmost ease in the company of Karthik. And the special credit goes to Thaman for presenting a beautiful melody again.

Theme Listen here

Thaman proves here why is he a hot and happening composer in Tollywood. For this theme music is a mix of mysterious notes, which aptly rises the curisoity on the movie. It's interesting and worth listening too. Give it a try.

With just three songs and a theme, the music album of 'Mounaguru' is fresh and fulfilling. Time for Thaman to rock Kollywood too.
