"While I was recording for the climax of 'Kavalar Kudiyiruppu', my heart stopped beating for a moment. Such was the impact the film directed by A M R Ramesh (of 'Kuppi' fame) had on me," says James Vasanthan.

Saying that he immediately rang up the director and asked him how was he able to make such a touching film, the VJ turned music composer adds: "the movie is a perfect mix of 'Subramaniapuram' and 'Kadhal'. It's inspired by a real-life story."

Throwing more light, James adds: " 'Kavalar Kudiyiruppu' depicts the dark realities of life. The first half is a laugh riot while the second half is just the opposite. It will surely create a storm after its release."

The music composer has one more reason to feel happy about the movie. For 'Kavalar Kudiyiruppu' marks his entry into the Kannada film industry. "Yes, the film is a bilingual, being made as 'Police Quarters' in Kannada. I am happy I am entering Sandalwood too," he says.
