Mythri came to me despite my six flops: Sai Dharam Tej

The pre-release event of 'Chitralahari' saw Sai Dharam Tej giving a heart-felt speech.

"I thank Sukumar garu and Koratala Siva garu for being here today. They have been consulted right from the beginning of this film. Their suggestions gave us a lot of boost. Mythri Movie Makers will always be special to me. They decided to produce a film with me at a time when I had had six flops in a row. I am really blessed to have got to work with director Kishore Tirumala. I have known him since the time he was a writer. We have grown into good friends. I never expected that I would meet him once again after becoming an actor," he said.

The Mega hero praised the work of Devi Sri Prasad, cinematographer Karthik Ghattamaneni and editor Srikar Prasad. "I have been a huge lover of DSP's music right from the beginning. It has always been my mother's wish that I get to work with Devi," Sai Tej said.

"I was in Intermediate when 'Nuvve Kavali' and the like released. Since then, I have loved (comedian) Sunil anna. Our bonding in this film will be a highlight. It was a happy experience to work with Vennela Kishore and Posani garu. The latter has played my father's role. Every father and mother will connect to his role. Kalyani Priyadarshan and Nivetha Pethuraj were supportive always. They spoke in Telugu during the shoot," he said.

"I am very lucky to be getting your love even after all these flops. I am here because of my three uncles. Don't call me Teju Babu. Call me just Teju," he added.

"I can't tell you how much I support him (referring to Pawan Kalyan)," Sai Tej said.

'Chitralahari' releases on April 12.
