It was on this day last year that 'Jersey' hit the screens, only to become one of the most critically-acclaimed movies of the decade.  Also a box-office hit, it made the Summer of 2019 special for the Telugu audience.

Taking to Twitter on Sunday, 'Gang Leader' star Nani said that the film will be remembered for 100 more years.  He thanked director Gautam Tinnanuri, music director Anirudh, female lead Shraddha Srinath, Satyaraj, Master Ronit, editor Navin Nooli and cinematographer Sanu Varghese for being the "team behind the magic".  

Earlier in the day, Gautham said that it feels overwhelming. "Thank you from team Jersey.  Nani sir, it's an honour to work with an actor like you and I will cherish this for a lifetime. Naga Vamsi garu (producer), thank you for believing Jersey and being an amazing producer," he added.  

The film is currently being remade in Hindi.  The sports drama stars Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur, and is produced by Dil Raju, Allu Aravind, Aman Gill and Bhaumik Gondaliya.
