Natraj as hero in period film

Cinematographer-actor Natraj, popularly known as Natty, made waves late last year with a power-packed performance in 'Sathuranga Vettai'. He is now busy wielding the camera for Vijay's 'Puli' directed by Chimbudevan.

Meanwhile, he has signed a film as hero. It will be directed by Ramu, a former associate of Pandiraj. Rajaj of 'Moodar Koodam' fame and Parvathy Nair will also play key roles in this flick.

"The story is set in the 1980s and the backdrop will be Madurai. Shooting will begin on 20 May. It is an interesting script and Natraj is happy about signing it," sources say, adding: "Natraj will soon sign few more movies as hero."
