The Lukla Airport in Nepal very near to the Mount Everest is known to be a dangerous one as it has a narrow runway.  Three people are reported to have been killed when a small airplane went out of control while taking off and crashed onto two helicopters that were parked.

Reports say that Co-pilot S Dhungana and Assistant Sub-Inspector Ram Bahadur Khadka, who was stationed at the helipad, were killed in the incident while Assistant Sub-Inspector Rudra Bahadur Shrestha, who was airlifted to Kathmandu, succumbed to his injuries at the Grande Hospital.  The aircraft pilot Captain RB Rokaya and Captain Chet Gurung of Manang Air, who was in the helicopter, were injured in the crash but were said to be out of danger.
