NGK is about grassroot-level politics & more: Suriya

The pre-release event of 'NGK' was held on Tuesday at Hyderabad's JRC Convention. Speaking on the occasion, Suriya spoke of the film and also gave a message to youngsters.

"It's been a long time since my last film released. I am a big fan of director Sri Ragahva garu like all of you. I am sure that 'NGK' will give you all a unique experience. It will be a special film for all of us. I have a lot of respect for Sri Raghava garu's craft. I waited 18 years for a project with him. We are missing Yuvan Shankar Raja here today. This film has made a magical combination a reality. It was great working with Sai Pallavi and Rakul Preet," Suriya began his speech saying.

What is the crux of 'NGK'? "The film touches upon grassroot level politics. I want 'NGK' to be remembered for a very long time. We have done this film for 2 years just for the love of cinema and art. 'NGK' is a U-certified movie that can be watched with your entire family," the handsome actor added.

The actor gave a thought-provoking message to his fans. "To all my lovely fans, I want to say just two things. I observe that people spend a lot of time on social media pointing out and criticizing others. Brothers and sisters, please take care of yourself and analyze what mistakes you are doing. Self-criticize, spend time on yourself rather than criticizing others. That would be my humble request. We all ask what the government is doing. But we have to ask ourselves what we can do. Every individual can be a change-maker. It will transform your State and your country and increase the Gross National Happiness. My respects to both Jagan anna and KCR garu. My hearty wishes to both and I am sure both AP and Telangana will see a lot of glory in the future. Jagan anna is one of the youngest CMs in India, in Bengaluru Tejaswi Surya has become an MP at 28. There are a lot of youngsters in politics," he said.

Suriya thanked the Telugu version's producer KK Radhamohan and others associated with Tollywood.

The film releases on May 31.
