Superstar Rajinikanth's '2.0' directed by Shankar budgeted at a whopping 4.5 billion rupees is the sequel to the much successful first edition 'Enthiran'. When millions of fans are expecting the film on January 25 as earlier announced, news of the film being pushed to a later round brought anxiety.

As news of '2.0' villain Akshay Kumar's Hindi movie 'Padman' was reportedly set to release on the same date, it was said that '2.0' would be pushed to April and subsequently Superstar's 'Kaala' to a much further release date.

But the '2.0' team had refuted any such claims. They also clarified that 'Padman' would be rescheduled for a different release date if it clashes with the movie. The team also revealed that they are in talks with the actor regarding this issue.

At the same time, an April release is unjustified as Sony's production banner is releasing a 3D movie and this will lead to a shortage of theatre screens as '2.0' is a 3D movie as well. Thereby the team had confirmed that the much awaited '2.0' will release on January 25 which will no doubt make the fans happy and excited.
