In the audio release function of Adurs, NTR Junior declared that he was not for awards and surpassing records in Telugu film industry. As a rejoinder to SS Rajamouli's comment that 'Adhurs' is all set to overtake 'Magadheera' in terms of records, the Junior said that he did not want awards or records, but was content with the love and affection showered upon him by the audience.

A star with maximum popularity in remotest parts of the state, some of his previous films like 'Simhadri' and 'Aadi' ran to packed houses for over and above 100 days in many centres. A mass star, he enjoys wide appeal even among the classes.

Since he is doing a dual role in Adurs, expectations are sky high among his fans. When Rajamouli made the sensational statement that the film was bound to break the records set by his recent directorial 'Magadheera', starring Ram Charan Tej, there were cheers from the audience. The wild cheers touched a higher decibel later when NTR said that the love of his fans was worth more to him.
