Sai Dharam Tej's movie with writer-turned-director BVS Ravi will hit the screens on Sept 1. Titled as 'Jawaan', the film has Mehreen of 'Krishnagaadi Veera Prema Gadha' fame as the heroine. Tamil actor Prasanna is the antagonist.

Kalyanvarma Dandu, Biyyapu Saikrishna and Vamsi Balapanuri are the co-writers. Music is by SS Thaman. Cinematography is by Guhan. Editing is by SR Sekhar. Art direction is by Brahma Kadali.

After the disastrous performance of 'Tikka' and 'Winner', Teju must be pinning hopes on this film. BVS Ravi directed 'Wanted' a few years ago and has co-written 'Iddarammayilatho, 'Gouravam', and 'Pandavulu Pandavulu Tummeda' in recent times.

Come Sept 1, what both Teju and BVS have achieved together will become clear.
