Farhan Akhtar`s initiative MARD is widely getting attention from people across borders. In fact, after Emma Watson and Michael Bolton, the latest celebrity to be vocal and high on praise for the initiative is Pakistani classical singer, Shafqat Amanat Ali.

The singer recently tweeted in support of the campaign and has also reached out to Farhan in helping to spread the awareness on gender equality. "I love how @FarOutAkhtar 's campaign @MardOfficial has supported many. This is a new definition of the word as we know it," had tweeted Ali. Other Indian celebrities who supported MARD are Sachin Tendulkar, Mahesh babbu, Shaan and Yuvraj Singh. They have all lent their voice for the MARD anthem in different languages.

While gender equality is a pressing issue in our society, it is commendable how more and more celebrities are joining hands to spread this awareness.

Farhan will be next seen on big screen with 'Dil Dhadkne Do' and 'Wazir'.
