Parthiban has always burnt his fingers whenever he has produced movies.

`Housefull’ got him a national award but it set him back by Rs 2 crores. `Kudaikul Mazhai’ is a critically acclaimed film and well-received in cities. In the last analysis the film is a dud in B &C centers. Even in A centers it had a slow start. Though the city audience took time to come to terms with the subject the B&C class areas audience felt that Parthipan had lost his mental balance.

The lesson he learnt is that one can see films like `Beautiful Mind’ but one should not remake it in Tamil. All the same he continues with his good work and has adopted two more children and sponsored their education expenses.
