Police case against Brand Babu

'Brand Babu', which hit the screens on August 3, has been directed by Prabhakar.  Starring Sumanth Shailendra and Eesha Rebba, it's written by Maruthi.

The film shows the photo of a journalist in a death scene.  The journalist in question has approached the police against the use of her picture.  She has registered a complaint as per the provisions of IPC Section 509, which penalizes any "word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman".

As for the film's business, it's reportedly not doing well at the box-office.  As things stand, the low-budget film, which is Kannada actor's Sumanth's Tollywood launchpad, will incur losses.
