The shooting of 'Poramboku' directed by Srinivas and produced by B Krishna Reddy on the banner of Tollywood Talkies, introducing Ekta Khosla as heroine and Navadeep of 'Jai'-fame in the title role is nearing completion.

The film unit met the press to brief details about the movie.

Dharmavarapu Subrahmanyam says, 'I am doing a good and different role in this film as the father of the hero. You are well aware that Navadeep is playing the hero. Our director would earn name as 'Poramboku' Srinivas soon after its release. Though the film was titled as 'Poramboku' to suit the subject, the hero is not a weird or waste fellow. He will remain a roll model with his attitude, though he behaves like naughty. Now the film is nearing completion. We did the shooting in a very happy mood. Though a novice, Ekta Khosla performed well.'

Director Srinivas says, 'Poramboku means waste and useless fellow. But there is nothing like useless in this universe. Likewise, every human being has something to do in this society. But that person could set a target for himself once he realizes what he could do for the society. Once a person sets a goal, he would definitely try to reach it. Our main aim in bringing out this film is to tell everyone that none is use-less in this world. I thank the producer for giving me this opportunity.'

Producer Krishna Reddy says, 'I returned to the film industry after a long gap and producing the film as I liked the subject very much. The first schedule of the film was done in Rajahmundry. Mani Sharma gave six melodious tunes to our film. Of them, we are planning to can four songs in India and two abroad. The audio would be released in November and the film in January.'

Hero Navadeep says, 'I am sure that the film would earn me as a good name because the director molded the character in a fantastic way.' Heroine Ekta Khosla thanked the producer and director for giving her a chance in the film. Dialogue writer Ramesh Gopi says, 'Though the film title says 'Poramboku', the producer made the film to prove that there is nothing like useless.'

Popular Tamil artistes Senthil, Vadivukkarasu, TV anchor Neeraja, Saleem Panda and others spoke. Noted fight masters Ram-Laxman took charge of the action part in the film.
