Prabhas' brother gets one year jail

Actor Prabhas' brother, UVSS Prabodh, was yesterday convicted by the Rajendranagar magistrate court in a cheque bounce case. The magistrate court sentenced him to one year imprisonment.

Going into the details, a Secunderabad-based businessman moved the court alleging that a cheque for Rs. 43 lacs signed by Prabodh bounced. As Prabodh failed to honour his commitment, the plaintiff alleged that he was guilty of dishnour. The court took cognizance of Prabodh's misdeed and sentenced him to imprisonment, besides directing him to pay Rs. 80 lacs to the plaintiff within two months' time.
