112 persons from various fields across the nation have been announced to be conferred with Padma Awards. Of these 94 were announced Padma Shri, 4 were awarded Padma Vibhushan and 14 were announced Padma Bhushan awards.

The award giving ceremony takes place in two phases, and today 56 of the awardees were given the Padma awards. The event was held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, Delhi and the event was presided over by President Ramnath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Vice President Venkaiah Naidu and many other ministers.

Some of the prominent personalities who received Padma awards today include Prabhudeva, Mohanlal, Drums Sivamani, Table Tennis player Sharath Kamal Achanta, Wrestler Bajrang Punia, Singer Shankar Mahadevan, Chess player Harika Dronavalli, Indian Kabaddi team captain Ajay Thakur among others.
